Can Mission but No Vision Equal Success?

As I set in a meeting today and participated in a very passionate conversation about organizational sustainability, messaging, and partner expectations, I kept asking myself "can an organization with an outlined mission but no clear vision be successful?".

What is meant by mission but no vision? I am referring to an organization that appears to know exactly what they do on an daily operational basis, with process and procedure in place, but lacks a clear direction and vision for what they hope to accomplish by doing what they do. = Mission but no Vision

Can true success be achieved?

Can you define success without a vision?
